The objective for this project was to use a personal collection and create an exhibition for the Museum of Modern Art. The Wizard of Oz will forever be my all-time favorite movie. Throughout elementary school, I’ve collected Wizard of Oz Bobbleheads and Figurines and I was excited to dig out the collection and get them professionally photographed. During the process of this project, I struggled with choosing a typeface. I wanted the collection to feel nostalgic. I was experimenting with many serif fonts. After helpful critique, about typeface options, I decided to go for a more modern look. For the final iterations, I chose to use Futura. This clean font portrays the collection as playful and brings back the old movie in a new way.
