The objective for this project was to take an existing article from The New York Times and design the travel blog into a magazine. I chose "36 Hours in Dublin, Ireland". I was interested to read about a place I haven't traveled to before. I've created a simple layout with colorful subheaders and bright images to represent the fun and adventurous spirit of Dublin. The beige shapes in the background complimented the colorful pictures and text well without being too loud. I came across challenges with the image sizes and the amount of text I needed to fit into the pages. I overcame these challenges by experimenting with many different layouts and playing with the relationships between the images and the text they’re paired with.
